Northeast GRAD FALL RETREAT 2020
These are crazy days - a global pandemic, racial injustice, raging wildfires, an election season, etc. And we are all just trying to survive graduate school! In the midst of the uncertainty and turmoil, we invite you to take 24 hours over the long weekend in October to turn to God with our Longings for Wholeness.
Join us online with other graduate students across the Northeast, from Maine to Washington DC, to worship God, study the book of Ruth together, and learn about how faith, our longings, our work, and justice intersect. We will have two big virtual together times, an extended opportunity to be away from our screens with God, and in small groups by schools. We will also have an afternoon seminar to hear from Christians in the workplace about how they integrate their faith with their work.
This is a new endeavor! We haven't done a virtual retreat together before. But we pray that it would be an opportunity in these covid days to bring us all together and be blessed.
When: The retreat starts at 7pm ET on Friday, Oct. 9th and ends Saturday, Oct 10th at 6pm ET. Keep in mind, Mon. Oct 12 is a holiday, so there will be plenty of time to catch up on work later. :)
Registration Fee: $20. If you are a student who does not live in the US, you do not need to pay a registration fee.
We do not want money to get in the way of anyone attending. If you would like to find out about scholarship opportunities, please contact your school's InterVarsity Staff before you register. If you don't know who your staff is, you can email the registrar.

Greg now lives in Chicago, after living for several years in New York City. He is married to Jennifer (an associate professor of pediatrics), and they have two daughters. Greg is a graduate of University of Chicago and Northwestern Law School. Prior to his work with InterVarsity, Greg practiced employee benefits law in Chicago.
Faith & Work Seminars: An important value for Grad InterVarsity is the integration of faith with our work and studies. This year, we will have a seminar slot with 6 options that explore ways that Christians are currently practicing their faith at work. Our hope in these 90 minutes is to hear from Christians in the workplace about ways they express their faith at work. It's an opportunity to hear their stories and to interact and ask questions. Below are the names of panelists confirmed for the seminars.
